4th of July Photo Wreath

I was in need of some Forth of July decorations, so I decided to make a small wreath with this foam form I had sitting around.  I'm obsessed with anything chevron right now!  And what screams the Forth more than some stars!
Forth of July Photo Wreath

Why not use a wreath as a frame I thought?  This red chevron burlap ribbon worked perfect to cover my foam wreath.  After it was wrapped, I added some fabric flowers and these adorable denim hearts that I happen to come across at Goodwill.  That when it hit me.  Everything I held up to give it a little wow factor, I just didn't like.  Until I thought of a photo and I loved the way it turned out.  I simply added a mini clothespin to hold the picture.  I just might have to make one for year round!!

Love Burlap Button Art

I had make one of these a long time ago, but gave it away as a gift.  I decided it was time to make another one.  I used a ornate old vintage gold frame and backed it with burlap.  Attaching all my buttons to read LOVE!  In the corner I added a gorgeous vintage broach.    Don't have the time to make one, order one online at Craft Crazed Mom.

Chevron Burlap Picture Frame

I had a 8X10 canvas that had been sitting around here, and I decided I could use a new frame.  I took some brown burlap chevron fabric and glued it on to the canvas. I used twine to wrap around the canvas to hang my picture from.  Of course I still wasn't satisfied, so I added a few fabric flowers and a vintage jewel to dress it up!  With a couple of mini clothes pins, I hung my picture!  So simple and so cute!

Give it a try or buy it online at my esty shop Craft Crazed Mom!

Jingle Bell Frame

It's really hard to find holiday decor in aquas and teals, so as you might have already picked up on, I've resorted to making a lot of it myself.  I had a deep, shadow box frame that I found at home, and figured I could find something to make with it.  I dug out some small ornament I had, a piece of snowflake craft paper and some white stickers.  I cut my paper to fit the frame, added the ornaments and put the "jingle bell" stickers to the front of the frame.  Very easy and simple project.  Give it a try, let me know how it goes!

Holiday Frame

In the basement I found this old picture we had from years ago.  Over time, I've created a large collection of letters that I tend to pick up when I see them, in hopes that they will be someday be put to good use.  So I decided to put together a frame for the holiday season.  I used wood glue to attach my letters together creating the word "Noel".  The letters were four different colors when I started.  Being new to blogging, I always forget to take pictures along the way.  Back to the letters, after attaching them together, I spray painted them silver.  Using my wood glue I attached the "Noel" to the frame.  For another touch of winter, I added some pine and an ornament to the corner.  After putting in my own picture, it looked adorable!

Chevron Frame

Having nothing to do today and some bare wall space, I decided to try to use up some old things laying around the house.  I found an old piece of plywood (clearly which I had used for spray painting), an old frame, and some painters tape.  Which I've heard they now sell tape in a chevron pattern already for you.  I first painted the plywood white, after letting it dry,  then put my painters tape on making a chevron pattern, and spray painted it aqua.  While that was drying I painted the frame aqua as well.  After the plywood was dry, I took my tape off which pulled a little of my paint off.  I actually really liked the way it looked.  I gave it a good sanding to age it a little and hung my frame.  Remember to not permanently attach your frame,  I'm sure at some point, you'll want to switch out your picture!
One quite day, some old junk used up, and now an awesome new frame!
